How does someone stop unwelcomed Encounters of the 3rd Kind in their Sleep?
Rabbi Rico Cortes has a teaching on the Threshold Covenant of Ancient Near Eastern Peoples. The Threshold Covenant works on the principle that the entire spiritual world works on invitation. Each household honored a spiritual being which protected the home from other spiritual beings and in return as an act of honor, the home honored the requirements of that spiritual being. The being that was guarding the home was known to visitors by the markings on the doorpost. In Hebrew Culture this was the Mezuzah (Scripture on the Doorpost) while Druids carved out turnips with candles inside them (later becoming pumpkins in the Americas)

Returning Nephillim?
The term "Nephal" or "Fallen One" is the singular for Nephillim. Interestingly the Hebrew word for Demon is a "Tamu-Nephal" meaning "Falling Dead Thing". Implying that a Nephillim is something that was once alive but has fallen from it's role or position (as you didn't exist in Hebrew unless you had a function or role, a name).
A theory from Physicist Dr. Chuck Missler on the UFO Phenomenon is that UFOs are not extra-terrestial beings but are instead hyper-dimensional beings. These beings are Souls of the Nephillim who drowned in Noah's Flood and are now seeking to influence mankind through technology.
Others believe these Nephillim are seeking synthetic bodies, as all demonic forces do. Since their bodies were drowned in the flood and they have no means of experiencing the world corporally. They would possibly have the "Face of a Cherub" as mentioned in the Torah. They could be Fallen Cherubim, the same form of Angel whom guarded the Garden of Eden and the Ark of the Covenant and appeared before Ezekiel in the Tanakh. The departure from their station would leave them without their former beauty and glory.
