Sources Of Dreams
"Pay Attention To Your Dreams For They Are Letters From God" Jewish Proverb
Brightly Lit Dreams
Dreams that are brightly lit are often a sign that the Dream is from The Creator. The Creator is the author of Light and Truth and Life. These dreams the colors in which a young child sees the world when they are still full of life thanks to more rods and cones in the eyes. The Creator uses the natural to teach the spiritual.
In these dreams the colors are brighter like bright sky blues instead of dark heavy blues, verdant shades of green instead of drab or blacker shades.
There is also often a bright light source whether it is seen like the sun or a light or just an ethereal light filling the room.
The purpose of these dreams are to give you direction, hope, truth, encouragement and sometimes correction.
Dreams from The Creator are usually confirmed by other sources such as a line of Sacred Scripture that rests heavy on your heart, a Word of Knowledge from a friend or a sudden Revelation felt deep within your Spirit. There are always two or three witnesses of some kind that all agree.
"Now this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you—that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we say we have fellowship with Him and keep walking in the darkness, we are lying and do not practice the truth."

Chapter 1 Verse 5
Mildly Lit Dreams
Dreams that are mildly lit like you would see in real life are a sign that the dream originated in the Soul (mind, will emotions) or the body of the dream or the environment around the dreamer.
These dreams are often naturally colored and fade quickly when waking. While it is helpful to write down as many details as you remember for the purpose of stewardship and training the brain to recall the dream, forgetting the details of a soul dream is no cause for great concern.
These dreams are often a response to something happening in the body of the dreamer (food that was ingested or medicine they took) or something in the waking environment (a television left on a blanket kicked off onto the floor).
They are also often the mind's response to waking life much like a computer that is defragmenting information and files it has stored throughout the week. The dreams also illustrate the person's wrestling with internal conflicts (the Id, Ego and Super Ego to use Freudian terms).
These are the dreams for which Psychology (study of the Soul-Mind, Will, Emotions) is helpful.
Psychology (the study of the Human Soul) is not helpful however in matters of the Spirit (Beings outside of the Human Realm).
"As a dream comes with excessive burdens so a fool’s voice with too many words.

Chapter 5 Verse 2
Dimly Lit
Dreams
Dreams that are dimly or darkly lit are often a sign that the Dream is from the Destroyer. The Destroyer (also known as the Deceiver or Adversary) has rebelled against the Light and the Truth and the Life. So all that is left for him and from him is Darkness and Deception (often through Accusation) and Death in all it's forms.
In these dreams all of the colors are darker shades and there is a notable lack of light. Notably also how the human eye begins to see the world as they enter old age and approach death.
The purpose of these dreams are multiple. Sometimes the Destroyer wishes to destroy relationships so the dream is a false accusation to separate you from friends or family or leadership. Sometimes it is an accusation to separate you from The Creator.
Sometimes the dream is sent to terrorize you or to begin fear based decisions. On occasion, the Destroyer is being forced to reveal his strategy to you so that you can intercede and respond accordingly.
"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks lies he is just being himself—
for he is a liar and the father of lies."
