Angels In Dreams

"Angel" is a term often misused in the West. The word for "Angel" in the Greek and Hebrew Languages simply has the meaning of "Messenger" and is more of a role a being is assigned than a species of being. Sometimes even humans are described as an "Angel" if they are delivering a message from The Creator.  Such as we see in the Book of Revelation. 

Angels in a dream can be the supernatural being of Angels or the likeness of a Human sent to deliver a Divine Message.

"To the angel of Messiah’s community in Ephesus write: “Thus says the One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks in the midst of the seven golden menorot:  I know all about your deeds and your toil and your patient endurance, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. You have tested those who call themselves emissaries and are not, and have found them to be liars. You have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. "

Responses To Angels

The key to discerning encounters of any kind with the Supernatural is to Test The Spirits.

If the Spirit denies that the Redeemer has risen from the grave and is the First-Born of YHVH, that is the first sign. But also a spiritual being or encounter that pulls you away from Sacred Scripture or entices you to break Divine Law or rebel against the King of the Universe. 

A created being asking that you worship it or another created being instead of The Creator is also a sure sign that the mission of the encounter is deception.

"I, John, am the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel showing me these things. But he tells me, “See that you do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets and those keeping the words of this book. Worship God!”

Guardian Angels

Many believe that children have Guardian Angels and that as we grow these Angels remain with us to intervene and also to record our deeds. Many believe they also look exactly like us based on the Story of Peter's Angel in the Acts of the Emissaries. These Angels record our deeds but also witness all that we have suffered in life and also any injustices so that The Creator can judge those situations in His time.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father in heaven. "

Cherubs

 And

 Seraphs

Cherubs and Seraphs are technically classes of Spiritual Beings instead of Classical Angels as they are not engaged in delivering messages.

Cherubs form a covering of sorts around the Throne of God and also on the Ark of the Covenant and at the Gates of Eden. 

Cherubs have never looked like toddlers, that was a depiction by Raphael taken from Greco-Roman Mythology.

Seraphs (Fiery Ones), were sometimes depicted in the ancient world as flying serpents or a form of reptile (possibly a  venomous dinosaur) with fiery wings.

"And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal.

In the middle of the throne and around it were four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind.

The first living creature was like a lion,

the second living creature was like an ox,

Slandering Celestial Beings

An angel that seeks to tell you it's name is often a warning. Some of the most scandalous people in History have founded religions upon having an encounter with an "Angel" who claimed to be either Gabriel or Michael or invented Angels such as Moroni or beings from the False Gnostic Texts. 

Then this "Angel" never opposes the dreamer stealing wives, genocides against those unwilling to convert, cheating on their spouse, or the dreamer taking advantage of youth group members.

 Many of these encounters are often either narcissistic lies about a dream they never had or a demonic encounter taking advantage of their spiritual state or just narcissistic illusions of grandeur playing out as they sleep. As an ordinary nameless Angel simply would not suffice to deliver their message. 

"Let no one disqualify you by insisting on false humility and worship of angels—going into detail about what he has seen, puffed up without cause by his fleshly mind."

Rebellious Servants

Some Angelic Encounters are actually Rebels with a Spiritual Cause . The Spiritual Cause is to have humans look to the former servants of the True King. Spirit Servants that rebelled against the King of the Universe that created them. These rebels have been drifting further and further from the Source of Light and Life and Truth for thousands or perhaps countless thousands of years and they decay as they drift into darkness. 

They cannot return home to the Place of Glory (3rd Heaven) and in their Narcissism and jealousy they do not want to allow Humans to ascend their either. 

They are allowed however to mask themselves with a cloak of their former Glory for a short time.

So they inspire the worship of the servants and of the creatures instead of The Creator- King of the Universe (Melech HaOlam in Hebrew.)

"  And no wonder, for even satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their deeds."
